Paris, the iconic city of romance and passion is the ultimate lovers’ destination. With idyllic monuments that tower into the sky to amaze you, cozy cafes in which to cuddle up with a cappuccino and a croissant, and many beautiful parks to gently stroll through; there’s everything a couple or a romantic hopeful could want. Named the City of Lights partly for its early adoption of gas lamps throughout the twisting streets, the city now glows brighter than ever, showing off its cultural riches with every bulb it can spare. The other aspect of the name City of Lights comes from Paris’ renown as a center of education and ideas, giving rise to some of the most influential philosophers, artists, and writers of Europe.

The first thing anyone wants to do when they disembark a plane is eat, and that desire has never been more easily or completely satisfied than in Paris. Paris has long held its reputation as the center of gastronomic paradise with pride, and for very good reason. The food in this city draws from the most refined and divine menus in the world. Meals are completed with some of the greatest wines in production, from personally selected bottles from small French chateaus to world-famous vintages of prestige and class. The cheeses on offer are equally as varied and delectable. Simply stated, it would be impossible to sum up the range of fresh breads, the pates, the elegant desserts, or the myriad of fine culinary masterpieces available to any connoisseur of fine dining, should they simply go looking.

For the culture appreciators, Paris holds some of the finest artwork on earth, lovingly and proudly displayed in one of the many elegant museums dotted throughout the city. The Louvre is the obvious destination for those wanting to soak in as much as possible, being that it has the status of the most visited art museum in the world, and contains 35,000 works of art, along with hundreds of thousands of antiques, relics, and other objects.

Paris is famous for being unbelievably easy to fall in love with, so much so that many stars claim it as a second home. While the sumptuous, centuries-old architecture lulls you into a carefree, blissful daze, the art and music sneak into your heart to take up residence, and the tastes and smells of excellent cuisine carry your troubles far away. Whether you come for the romance, the culture, the food, or the beauty of legendary Paris, it is definitely well worth the trip.
